Storybook hits the Muriel Kauffman Stage at the Kauffman Center Future Stages Festival TOMORROW (June 14) - our timeslot is at 2:30pm. It’s free to attend! Please come out and support our 60+ performers and hundreds of other young artists from the KC metro from 12-5pm, as they show off their skills!

Hey everyone. Something kinda cool happened.

I (Julie) wrote this script for the Storybook kids to perform back in 2018. It was way back in the garage days, and our performance space was still a teeny tiny stage. We’ve staged it a few times since then, in a few different places, and it’s always a fun production! But I’ve held onto a hope and a feeling (and the dream of an 8 year old who wanted to see her name in print) that it might end up being for more than just the Storybook Theatre kids.

Today I got my hands on the first printed copy of my PUBLISHED SCRIPT. It’s a tiny bit surreal, to say the least. Thanks to Pioneer Drama Service for believing in this little story! I can’t wait to see everywhere it goes.

Calling all 4-7 year old STARS - we can’t wait to see you this summer! Storybook’s half day camps are filled with so much fun and creativity, and each week wraps up with a short performance created by the students for parents and friends to watch!
