Musicbyskippy Musicbyskippy is a music experience by Luke “Skippy” Harbur, part of LSH Productions. “Pause. Play. Be Kind. Make A Difference."

These are the four pillars of Luke “Skippy” Harbur, creating thought provoking experiences for multigenerational audiences as a full-time educator, performer, and producer. Through public speaking, beatboxing, and other skills his work celebrates authenticity and combats social isolation. Based out of Kansas City, Missouri, he began full-time freelancing in November 2021. As an educator, public speaking topics include staying motivated under stress, managing mental health, and community building. As a performer, his project musicbyskippy contains over 75 original songs. As a producer, his company LSH Productions manages creative projects serving thousands of live arts, literary, and entrepreneurship patrons annually. Living through four near death experiences before age 30 define his mission: nurture the kind, goofy, and critical thinking person living inside everyone. Kansas City Oasis combines Ted Talks, community connection, and coffee to start off Sundays on the right foot!

It was nothing short of an honor being their musical guest, sharing a healthy mix of meditative and punchy original tunes.

This space creates intention and awareness around the importance of humans creating connection, humans bettering neighborhoods, humans assisting each other through action, not just words, and that’s what makes the world a better place.

Gena Bardwell is the BEST.

From being the first person to call me Skippy as a little boy, to being the BEST FRIEND to my Mama for decades, to taking me to a Broadway audition in my early twenties, to supporting SO many LSH Productions projects, how can you not support and love someone who shows up like that after so many years?

Today’s reflection for “thought & music scribbles” - going from street beatboxing to touring kids show beatboxing!

Through early high school, beatboxing was a party trick: it made me new friends, broke up fights, helped me focus better on school work. Then when I was around age 16, I won a talent competition with it and a $1,500 cash prize to help me pay for books in college.

We all have something that sparks us, that wants to teach us and connect us to people we cannot even know yet until it becomes the way to put the foot in a door. This art form is one I have so much love and reverence for, and moving towards live producing mixed with beatboxing is nothing short of exciting and inspiration.

At age 13, the journey began. At age 16, the journey got its first check. At age 31, 52 shows in 51 days from this past summer proved how there’s always a way to serve this art form greater than your own self expression ❤️‍🩹

Behind all the madness and mayhem of musicbyskippy and LSH Productions, there’s this dude named Arthur Phog “Gub Gub STOOPID” Clifford that’s been a constant.

Going on this journey of entrepreneurship with experience-making has had big swings of ups and downs. However, through workshops and speaking engagements on this topic, there should always be a clear emphasis on seeking balance in your personal and professional life.

THEE Arthur Phog Clifford has always been supportive, kind, and keeps my whacky, playful energy in check. A fantastic friend does that. A best friend does that. We’ve shared stages, tears, laughs, frustrations, inspirations, and decisions that have broken us and built us in ways that only truly bonds can withstand.

Arthur, thank you for being a brother in spirit, in joy, in sorrow, in darkness, and truly, in dreams. Love ya oodles and noodles!
