Teabowl was my first hyper fixer in ceramics, after ceramics itself—if it is ceramics 🤷‍♂️😉
We gotta teabowl here. I generally accept it as evidential forward movement—thinking about this pleases me BROTHA!

Ōmukade: a Japanese Yokai for systemic destruction. It destroys the systems that prevent systemic destruction. If there is a wildfire, it takes away the rain.
This Ōmukade is orange brown and white.
This vase is missing a falcon 😘

It started with the intention of just doing a few. It always does. Never seems to fail that I put myself in this position. The space in my studio is just areas in which I become some kind of farmer. All my crops as pots overgrow at every stage I take up all the space I possibly can before I go to the next step. There’s five or six other pieces that aren’t on the table because it takes time for me to decide what colors to use. I’m sure there’s other ways of doing things and I’ve gotten advice from people that I value their opinions on, but it seems like this is what I do. Nothing wrong with it, but it does put me in a position to back myself on the corner and I have to fight my way out of it. I might be one of the locomotive factors and how I get things done. I work my ass off to fill the shelf. I work my ass off to fill the kiln. I work my ass off to fill the desk And then I work my ass off to fill each piece and then when they’re done, I work my ass off to make them go away. I just gotta keep making stuff yanno?

Heya! I’m doing an online workshop with and I’d love to see you there. Also, if you can’t make the live stream, you have access to it for 45 days after.

Im gonna go over the ways I get images on surfaces and what I do with underglaze, glaze, and overglaze. I’ll show you how I do the process I do.

You can sign up at Pocosin’s website pocosinarts.org—it’s in the online workshop section. Go to instructors, scroll down to me and it’ll be below my picture.

I drew this and I’m putting it here because spraying glazes and underglazes is fun. Screenshot it if you want to use it, it don’t bother me none!

The second day of the workshop went well and I’m looking forward to processing it and giving myself a rational critique. I think it went as well as it could have, which is wonderful, however I wouldn’t be me without a drive to improve. I’m most proud of myself for being really on it for my time based off of my estimate from several weeks ago. I guess I can put ‘hella’ in front of my time management skills on my resume now… 😂

I sincerely appreciate the support I got from everyone at my home studio, the participants, and well-wishers who couldn’t make it but wanted to. It’s hard to let it soak in, but I suppose it would behoove me to get over it 😘
Now for some hurry up and do absolutely nothing with the cats and some salad 🫡

I am become death, a tired boy. The kitties are giving life.

The body didn’t sleep, the cortisol didn’t leave, the first day of the first workshop was successfully completed.

I stuck to my plan, it all worked out. I got positive feedback, it ended up being fine. I have a foundation, it’s solid. I know the next time will be slightly lower stress and I’m grateful. The feelings are being felt.

Good job dude, you did the thing you wanted to do since 2017, I’m proud of you. More opportunity unlocked. Keep moving forward 😘
