Kansas City Folk Festival KC Folk Fest is a free city festival that celebrates the music, arts and crafts of our neighborhood, region and beyond.

Often defying definition, folk festivals are considered a “people's fest" that celebrate the music and arts of a particular place. They are also a hub for sharing local resources and spotlighting neighborhoods, sustainability, creative collaborations, traditional and contemporary handmade crafts, food, and D-I-Y culture.

The 22nd Annual KKFI Crossroads Music Fest, presented by Community Lending of America, takes over Kansas City’s Historic West Bottoms on Saturday, September 12.

CMF is a KC institution and we invite you to spend the day exploring 7 stages and 25+ bands, DJs and a marching band, plus local makers, food, drinks and some of the most unique venues in Kansas City.

The day kicks off with the FREE Band of Angels Day Party at Rock Island Bridge from Noon–3 PM, featuring youth music organizations performing alongside seasoned Kansas City artists.

RSVP, bring the family, and consider bringing a new or gently used instrument to donate to Band of Angels.

From 3 PM–1 AM, the music continues throughout the West Bottoms at Lemonade Park, Stockyards Brewing, The Campground, Voltaire and afterparty at The Ship.

You can also explore the West Bottoms Mercantile, featuring dozens of local artists, makers and vendors, before ending the night at the official Cougar Club Afterparty at The Ship.

Kids 12 and under are free through 10 PM with a parent or guardian and proceeds benefit KKFI 90.1FM, KC Community Radio.
