A co-curated exhibition between University Health and Habitat Contemporary Gallery.

University Health is accepting submissions, from the LGBTQ+ Visual Arts Community, for an exhibition centered around Healing Arts. We are seeking work that encapsulates the concept of healing through a visual means. This can extend to physical, mental or emotional health and wellness. This is left to the artist interpretation, and can extend to work that speaks specifically to this concept, made during a period of personal healing or anything in between. The exhibition will have an opening reception on June 2nd, 2025, displayed in The Healing Arts Bridge. Additionally there will be a panel discussion held on Thursday, June 12th from 5 - 6:30 Works being submitted should measure no smaller than 30” x 24” and no larger than 48” x 60”. All submissions need to be received by March 1st, 2025. To submit please fill out the information below, and upload two images for consideration. Selected artist will be notified by April 1st.

University Health presents outstanding visual, performance and communicative art to promote healing and uplift the spirit of all who enter the hospital.

The Healing Arts program incorporates visual, performance and other art forms throughout the hospital as a means of learning, expression and healing for patients, visitors and employees. The program strives to improve patient experience and outcomes and to encourage a broader understanding of cultural diversity in health and illness.
