We chose this project because it was the first time that Substream was part of the entire creative process from concept to completion. We had so much fun collaborating with our good friend Joel Hale and the crew over at BAC Music Center to create these spots! Enjoy!

Substream’s 10-Year Anniversary: Year 7 (2016)

If we were to choose the projects which represent our most humbling and meaningful work, hands down it would be the work we have done with Andrew Wegst for WildAid. So much of the content is absolutely heartbreaking to see, but knowing that we are contributing in some small way towards the efforts to protect endangered wildlife throughout the world is a blessing. Here is one of our favorite WildAid spots from 2016.

Substream’s 10-Year Anniversary: Year 6 (2015)

What does 1000+ promo spots plus "Weird Al" Yankovic equal? One of the largest projects we have ever worked on! We were tasked to create all the sound design, VO, as well as putting together every audio asset for the TV and radio promo spots for every city for both Weird AL Yankovick’s 2014 and 2015 “Mandatory World Tours!” This lead to many sleepless nights and even setting up a studio while we were vacationing to make the deadline. We managed to pull it off and were honored to be able to be a part of promoting such a great artist! That is why this was our favorite project of 2015!

· Fun Fact: This job came to us after we had recorded a 1950’s style propaganda voicemail for a company called Project Blackbird. Noel was the talent. Someone from Weird Al’s team called Project Blackbird about working on his promotional videos for the tour and heard Noel’s voiceover and they decided they wanted that style of read and sound design treatment for the spots!

There are so many memories surrounding our 5 years working on PetSmart that it is hard to know where to even begin. Some of our most enjoyable work and creative growth happened while working for this client. It was during this time that we honed our skills in musically branding a company through our compositions. There was such a synergy with everyone involved. Steve, Patty, Lauren, Michelle, and Dan you all will always hold such a special place in our hearts and we are so grateful to each of you.

We had a wonderful time working with the talented team over at Wide Awake Films creating this trailer for their film, Battle of Shiloh. For this project, we brought on our go-to violinist virtuoso, Shane Borth, to provide the magic touch this composition needed to make it one of our favorite projects of 2013.
