Come and meet the Northeast Area Artists at their Creative and Showing spaces. We are offering a Free self-guided tour of up to 8 locations and 21+ artists represented. Of those, 3 are Galleries, 2 are Coffee Shops, 2 are Working Studios and 1 Arts Organization.
Pick up a FREE map at the EGG (Economic Growth Gallery) Our first location on the map. 2659 Independence Ave. KCMO
Locations are within a 10 minute drive or less. Look for the yard signs.
This tour is offered 2 days. Saturday 10 am - 6 pm and Sunday Noon -12 pm to 4 pm. December 2 and 3, 2023. Core Coffee has shortened hours.

This week's Independence Avenue CID, 4 Corners Community Call is right here at the new home of The Northeast News, 2659 Independence Avenue!

As you may have read in this week's Northeast News, we're now a non-profit newsroom under the ownership of Historic NorthEast Media Inc.

HNE Media, a Registered Missouri non-profit corporation now operates The Northeast News, taking over ownership from Michael Bushnell and Christine Adams who have owned the paper since 1998.

The non profit status will allow the paper to pursue grants and funding formerly not available to for profit organizations.

“Local journalism is an essential and valuable public service, and we are pursuing non-profit status for this very reason,” Managing Editor Abby Hoover said. “We want to continue doing this work because our community deserves it.”

Watch for expanded coverage of news and events coming up this summer from our team of talented Journalists and Artists. Stay tuned!
