I had to burst my 11 year old’s view of me.

“Does this mean you’re one of the top 10 voices in the country?”
Um...no, kid. Sorry. 😏

It just means that for this year, among the pool of voice talent who submitted (and had the client’s permission to submit), this particular group of judges thought my submission was in the top 10 of these categories.

Don’t get me wrong - It’s still a tremendous honor. But there are a lot of factors!

Some people take issue with awards for something as subjective as art. And that’s okay.

I see it as a stamp of approval from industry pros to communicate with you, the voice buyer: “You can trust this voice talent with your needs. She’s a pro.” 🎤

Oh - and as an excuse to dress up and have a fancy dinner with my voiceover friends! 😁 I’m headed to Dallas this weekend to celebrate this wildly talented group of voices whose work behind the mic shows up in our lives every day.

And that’s an honor I’ll always humbly receive. 🎉

I’m taking the month of July off social media, because it tends to distract me. (Anyone else?? 😬)
