Haven’t done an introduction post in awhile, so figured I should do that! I’m Emily and I’m the face behind Willow Jean Fiber Arts. I’m a single mom to an almost teenager that insists on growing much taller than me. I live in a small town in Missouri and absolutely love the amazing sunrises and sunsets I get to constantly see. I started weaving around the end of 2021 as a way to help process the grief from the unexpected loss of my baby niece in the fall of 2019. It was a form of therapy for me and I was very protective of my art in the beginning stages. I then discovered needle felting and became obsessed with it. I tend to primarily stick with needle felted landscapes or recreations of my favorite paintings. My goal this year is to get my website up and running and be able to put more time and energy into my art. So here is to 2025: a year of healing, new beginnings, and so much joy ❤️
