Meet Lezlie!

Lezlie wrote, produced, and directed Escape.

I guess I'm the only one left! I am a musician, performer, and writer. I write a bit of everything... music, books, poetry, plays... This is the first time I've taken a show from inception to production mostly on my own. It's hard, y'all. And I have loved it.

In addition to all the writing, I work as Music Coordinator at Congregation Beth Torah, a synagogue in Overland Park. I lead music at Shabbat worship on Fridays and Saturdays, coordinate music teams, and oversee our volunteer band and choir. I also arrange music for our musical groups. (Another thing that is hard and that I love.)

I am honored and blessed to be working with such an amazing group of women. I hope you like the show. And I hope to keep writing and producing plays for a long time.

Meet Anna!

Anna is our intrepid stage manager!

Anna has dabbled in theater on and off since her junior high school days in community theater. More at home behind the scenes, Anna’s avocational career has been in the field of portrait photography, and, pursuing her main passion, poetry. Most recently, Anna has ventured into spoken performance in small venues. She is married to Tom Krekow, a photographer and artist, and credits him with keeping her feet on the artistic path.

Meet Autumn!

Autumn plays Ginny, "just a mom." We soon find out that Ginny is not "just" anything.

My Fringe dreams came true nine years ago when I stomped my foot in our playwright's kitchen pronouncing that I was more than just a mediocre baker, I was an actress too. After such a display it was a wonder she even cast me that year, let alone the many shows she was able to dream up. When not causing a scene, I am chasing after four kids as a homeschooling mom. Sometimes I even get to leave the house to volunteer at a local clothing shelter and head up a mom's hiking group.

I am can't wait to join the stage with this amazing group of women. Lead by our fearless playwright/director, we are creating what can only be described as Lilith-charged magic.

Meet Maia!

Maia plays Kate, a high school counselor looking for her own escape.

This will mark Maia's second time being part of a FRINGE performance. This cast has been especially exciting to work with. An all female cast brings a particular energy to the stage.
She has also previously shown twice in the visual arts portion of the FRINGE.

Off stage, Maia’s interests include visual arts, film-making, and biking. As a visual artist, she uses many mediums, including creating artistic assemblages from discarded items. Active in the Independent Filmmakers Coalition of Kansas City, Maia has been a producer/director of at least twenty short films. She also enjoys riding her bicycle and encouraging others to discover the joy of conveying oneself via two wheels.

Meet Lauren!

Lauren Plays Sonia, a blogger who is not new to cat-and-mouse games. There may be more to her story than she leads us to believe.

Hey, I'm Lauren. I am originally from the Chicagoland area and have been performing on stage since I was 5 years old. I moved to Kansas City a couple years ago and am so excited for my first show at KC Fringe Fest!

Being a part of this cast/crew has been amazing and I can't wait for everyone to see the show!

Meet Natalee Merola!

Natalee plays Tavis, an old hand at escape games. But her past experience may not help her much in this game.

Natalee is thrilled to be back at KC Fringe! She last appeared in 2018 as a shadow puppeteer for The Man in My Beard. This past year, she was involved with Titanic (MTH), Roar (The Culture House), Spongebob the Musical (Coterie Theatre), Company (The Barn Players), and Annie (The White Theatre). Meet Sue Prado!

Sue plays Kennedy, the head game runner at the escape game venue Departure. Kennedy knows the game backwards and forwards, inside and out.... or does she?

Hi! My name is Sue. My family is from Bolivia (located in the heart of South America).
I grew up always wanting to perform. However, until recently I didn't give myself permission to follow that pull.

I'm so happy and grateful to be a part of this play. To bring Kennedy's character to life was a fun and exhilarating journey.
