🎬 KAHILU — THE GIFT OF PLACE (Premiere Screening)

For generations, Kahilu has been more than a stage.

It has been a gathering place for Waimea — a place where artists and audiences come together, where young people discover the performing arts, and where memories have been created across generations.

Now, a new original documentary from Kahilu.TV tells the story of this extraordinary place.

“”Kahilu — The Gift of Place”” explores the history of Kahilu Theatre, Richard Smart’s passion for theatre, and the impact his vision has had on Waimea and beyond.

Through personal interviews, archival photographs, and historic footage, the film brings together voices and memories from across the community to tell the story of how Kahilu came to be — and what it has meant to the people who have passed through its doors.

Join us for the premiere this Sunday at Kahilu Theatre.
