Situated in the historic Waimea Elementary School, Isaacs Art Center is home to retail and permanent

The Isaacs Art Center at Hawai‘i Preparatory Academy (HPA) is dedicated to promoting appreciation for the art of Hawai‘i and to extending arts education throughout our school and island communities. The gallery provides support to the HPA Scholarship Fund and serves as a venue for the collection, conservation, sales, and education about historic Hawaiian and world art. All proceeds benefit the HPA

Scholarship Fund, which assists promising young people in realizing their educational goals. Isaacs Art Center is located in Waimea (Kamuela) in the South Kohala district of the Big Island of Hawai'i, next to the HPA Village Campus. Physical address: 65-1268 Kawaihae Road, Kamuela HI 96743

American painter Louis Pohl’s immersive Volcano Series prints provide a textural and abstracted perspective of Hawai’i’s volcanic landscape. This image in particular is reminiscent of his Halema‘uma‘u oil painting, where the vibrant hues of orange in the lava lake glow onto the crater wall.
