Steve Maxon and his team at Max-Cast recently completed a Cornhusker bronze statue, commissioned by Mark Moseman, that will be donated to an agrarian art museum in David City, Nebraska. This is the third Cornhusker created by Max-Cast; the first two were commissioned by the City of DeWitt fifteen years ago, where they stand at both ends of their main street. The statue is inspired by a WPA wall mural painted by John Bloom, a DeWitt native and student of Grant Wood, in 1937 for the DeWitt post office.
