Gather & Grow Homeschool Collective is looking to welcome some new families into their growing community, and we are SO excited to share that they'll be bringing some of their upcoming events to Lounge!

This awesome group gets together at least once a month for hands-on workshops, exciting explorations, fun activities, and opportunities for homeschool families to connect, learn, and grow together. As a homeschool mama myself, I absolutely LOVE seeing opportunities like this pop up in our community, and I'm even more excited that we get to be a little part of it! 🥰

Figured I'd post this here too, because why not!?

I'm on a talent search at Kalamazoo Game Show Experience, as well! I need a couple of people who are funny, loud, charismatic, dependable, and capable of being left unsupervised.

This is a part-time host position, with the opportunity to basically become seasonally full-time if desired in December and January. This is a GREAT gig for a college student, performer, gig worker, etc.!

Pay STARTS at $20/hour and can go up depending on experience and talent, PLUS you’ll make an extra 10% commission on every private party you personally bring in!

You MUST have evening and weekend availability, be organized, able to multitask, and comfortable working without direct oversight. You also need to be comfortable on a microphone in front of a room full of strangers. If the thought of commanding the attention of anywhere from 10-300+ mildly tipsy accountants terrifies you... this may not be your calling. If that sounds like your Super Bowl, PLEASE proceed!!

You do NOT need professional hosting experience. I can teach you how to run the games. That said, I cannot teach you how to have a personality.... well, maybe I can.... but I don't have that kind of time.

Pot It Like It's Hot was my favorite summertime activity, and this has been my favorite early fall activity, by far! You get a battery-operated tea light to put inside and they truly are soooo adorable when all lit up 🥹

Halloween is also just over 3 weeks away! If you're looking for a "one stop shop" that leaves 0 room for FOMO, our Little Monsters Bash is calling your name! No cold, no lines, no watching to make sure your little ghouls and goblins aren't in the road unintentionally playing chicken every 5 seconds. No meltdowns because some 36-year-old a**hole in a werewolf costume decided to play trick-or-trauma. Oh, and bathrooms. Obviously important, because these pelvic floors just don't work like they used to 🫠

HALP, I NEED HALPPP!! 😂

We're heading steadfast into busy season and I'm looking to add a couple part-time people to my team!

CAPTAIN OF CELEBRATIONS
$18/hour

You’re our party person! You’ll set up, welcome our party families, make sure they have everything they need, keep things running smoothly, and clean/reset afterward. Expect around 10 hours per weekend, primarily on Saturdays & Sundays.

LOUNGE BESTIE
$15/hour

Basically, come hang out and sanitize stuff. You’ll check families in, keep toys picked up and germ-free as possible, mingle with parents, and just make sure nobody is dangling from the ceiling fans. Hours will vary from approximately 5–20 hours per week, primarily weekdays with occasional weekends. This position won't necessarily have a set schedule at first, so flexibility is definitely a plus!

ANDDDD, parent perk: Once fully trained, our Lounge Bestie can bring one child age 2+ to work with them. Obviously, you still have to be able to do your job, but we know how hard it can be to find part-time work that actually works with having a kid.

Both positions require you to be 18+, dependable, friendly, able to work alone, comfortable around kids and families, and actually willing to talk to people. Customer service experience is, of course, always useful.
