Today we honor Juneteenth—a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality.

As we reflect on this important moment in history, we also recognize the contributions, stories, and voices of Black Americans that continue to shape our communities, our culture, and our country.

At Farmers Alley Theatre, we believe in the power of storytelling to foster understanding, connection, and empathy. Today, we celebrate freedom and recommit ourselves to creating spaces where every voice can be heard and every story can be shared.

Happy Juneteenth.

What does it take to bring Into the Woods to life? Sometimes it’s all about making the impossible happen in just a few seconds!

While audiences are focused on the action on stage, an entire team is hard at work backstage making the magic happen.

From wardrobe changes to cue calls, it’s all part of the theatre magic you don’t always get to see.

Come From Away is back!

This thrilling and heartfelt musical was such a huge hit in the fall of 2025 and now it makes a triumphant return.

Based on the true story of the time when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001.

Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

Join us for the return of one of the most beloved productions in Farmers Alley Theatre history.

🚨 Tickets Are Now On Sale! 🚨

We are delighted to open our 19th Season with a brand-new comedy by the same playwright who wrote and directed our Season 18 hit, A JUKEBOX FOR THE ALGONQUIN: Izzy’s husband Freddy was a history buff with one dream: a full-scale reenactment of The Michigan-Ohio War.

But when a bizarre papier-mâché accident leaves Izzy a widow, this Michigan Matriarch calls on her Wolverine daughter and Buckeye son to see Freddy’s vision realized.

Historical becomes hysterical as they clash over everything from tofu to Toledo to goal posts to Gordon Lightfoot.

Don’t miss this award-winning comedy about family, football and the fight for the Toledo strip..

Be among the first to experience the show that kicks off an exciting new season at Farmers Alley Theatre.
