Splice Institute & Festival SPLICE is a performing arts and educational organization dedicated to the advancement of technology-mediated music performance.

SPLICE is an organization dedicated to the performance, creation, and development of music for performers and electronics. SPLICE is comprised of an annual Institute designed for performers and composers to study the integration of performance with electronics, an annual two-day Festival of concerts that blend engaging live performances with new technologies, and the Ensemble, a trumpet, piano, an

d percussion trio focussed on cultivating a canon of the most important works composed for instruments and electronics.

Proposals for performances, the improv dance concert, collaborations with SPLICE Ensemble, lectures and workshops. Send them. There’s no application fee. Just come hang out with us in Utah in February

SPLICE Festival VIII at University of Utah is bringing back the improvised dance concert that was so exciting this March at Festival VII! If you are an electronic improvisor or dancer definitely check it out! We will pair dancers and musicians and you will have time to rehearse before the performance!
