Our Director of Sacred Music, James Richardson, plays Handel's "Hornpipe" from Water Music at the Cathedral on 5/15/2026.

This piece is a great example of why organists need more than one keyboard. You'll notice that the full organ sound is on the middle keyboard, while the loud trumpets are on the bottom, and the echo is on top. Having multiple keyboards allows the organist to change sounds very rapidly while playing, as well as to play more than one set of sounds at a time.
