Hi everyone! I had an interesting thought today that I dearly wondered about. I don’t really know about much of the past legacy of women at WIDR ( By that I mean the alums that were involved with WIDR before me, especially in the “golden years”.) though I do know for women historically it was difficult for us to become radio DJs as a whole.

However, I think it’s really important to celebrate these women as they helped paved the way for ladies like me who love music and wish to share that with the world.

Enter The Crypt will continue on for as long as it can. I will be celebrating 5 years this upcoming year of this program, and will do it for as long as I can ( I’m one of two graduate students at the station and the only full time graduate student to do a show as of 2026). That is no small feat, and I hope that I can be remembered as someone who brought joy to some of you who have tuned in, and who can provide support to future generations of WIDR DJs .
