🥺❤️🦋

This morning after my class with American Cruise Lines, an elderly man (Bob) started pulling butterflies off my shelf. I approached him and asked if he needed assistance and he proceeded to tell me about how his wife recently passed away from a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She sounded like a lovely woman who used to raise monarchs at their home in Florida.

His contemplation of the butterflies felt like a longing to connect with his wife again. Bob showed me photos of his wife, of her butterfly garden, and all the beautiful orchids that they grew together.

Bob is a really sweet guy who lost his best friend...

This isn’t the first time someone has looked at Mustofa Art butterflies and felt an instant connection to a loved one they recently lost. I’ve experienced this countless times in my store. People who walk in with no intention of buying anything, only to suddenly feel the presence of someone they love. Somehow, they find a piece that reminds them of that person, and they leave with a little piece of them to hold onto.
