Just a girl who can be both 💁‍♀️

Becca Becca the Millennial Mermaid has been my mersona for nearly a decade now. Last year, I got a Creature Fins full body suit painted by Jonathon Mario
Pāua is her name.

it is so fun to be both a princess mermaid and a siren, monster creature thing. Each suit has its purpose and places.

thank you Creature Fins for standing in as Pāua for the purpose of this video! I’ve wanted to make it for a long time!

The mantas are paid actors.

This clip has been living in my drafts folder & I decided that it deserves to be shared!!

This was from our “mini-moon” last year in Kona, Hawaii. Jackson and I are the two divers at the bottom 💕

Special thanks to our charter & for filming this footage I will cherish forever.

Fun fact: Our PADI Scuba diving instructor officiated our wedding! 🤿

A great article about The California Mermaid Convention & how “mermaiding” has grown over the years!

Plus a photo of me in my creature form.

Three Days of Magic at California Mermaid Convention

05/19/2026

These are the days that shape our lives.

I’m reflecting on the different experiences I’ve had - and just how much of an impact they’ve had on my life.

Through the years, I’ve grown my skills, connections, and even created businesses.

I’ve learned about my values, what matters most to me, and how to create boundaries that protect the life I’m building.

I’ve met some of the most important people in my life. Best friends who have become family.

I’ve come so far from messaging strangers on the internet to see if they wanted to share an AirBNB for The California Mermaid Convention.

I’m grateful for how this event has transformed my life into something MAGICAL! 💖

Mermaiding is best done as a group activity. I got my first tail in 2017, but it wasn’t until the 2019 when I actually swam with other Merfolk for the first time.

I was instantly hooked! 🎣

I feel like Merfolk are like other marine cetaceans- dolphins and whales- where they prefer to spend their time in pods.

I believe this so much that I bought additional fabric tails to lend to friends, so I would never have to mermaid alone!

In this video I’m swimming with one of my human besties, Emma, who’s way too cool for Instagram. We had the best time tailing up together at .gardens

Dress to distress 💁‍♀️

This is only half of the outfit - but it’s still more expensive than anything else I own, my wedding dress included. 😅
