Saturday, April 4 — Joseph Rock Arboretum Annual High Tea Fundraiser 10am–2pm · $55 per person
Spend a spring afternoon with High Tea, rare native Hawaiian plants, and live music in one of Kona’s most extraordinary gardens — and help build something lasting for our community.
Every dollar raised goes toward a new pavilion at the heart of Kona — a permanent home for Chamber Orchestra of Kona and other musical rehearsals, cultural and spiritual performances, and community events, with a view that has to be seen to be believed.
The Music:
10am — Ohrlando — Baroque chamber trio with Roland Maurer, Ursula Hesse, and Farley Sangels
11am — Ola Sangels — Solo originals
12pm — String Quartets — featuring Ursula Vietze and Susan McGovern
1pm — COOK Jazz Ensemble — Bill Lamden, Farley Sangels, Ola Sangels, Larry Boucher, Sue Garrod, and Ron DeLano
Walking tours of the arboretum throughout the afternoon.
Hats, flower hair pins, and haku lei encouraged.
