Join Bobby Moderow with his sweet falfsetto ballads and Ki-ho'alu stylings at the 34th Annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival - Kauai Style on Sunday, November 8,, 2026 from 1PM - 5PM at the Outriggeer Kauai Beach Resort & Spa. It will be an afternoon of sweet Hawaiian melodies and slack key guitars sure to satisfy the most discriminating musical taste. Invite your friends and family members and bring your kids too. We're looking forward to working with the Salvation Army Lihue Chapter to hopefully raise some funds for their work to assist Kauai families in crisis and impacted by the recent storm. We're also encouraging everyone that plans on coming to the festival to consider donating a canned food (meats, soups, vegetables) when they come. This will go a long way to replenish the Salvation Army's Food Pantry for future deliveries to needy families. The Salvation Army will have a table at the festival to collect everyone's donation both canned foods and monetary donations. Mahalo.

We're a day shy of two weeks before the Kona festival slated for Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa and hope many of you will take the time to come to the festival and enjoy all of the great artists that will be performing. Now, it's time to start promoting the Kauai festival that is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, 2026, at the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort & Spa from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Again, lots of talented artists will be performing. Like the Kona festival we will be partnering with the Salvation Army Lihue Chapter to raise funds for those that have been affected by the recent storm. Also, we are encouraging everyone who is thinking of attending the festival to please consider donating a canned food (meats, soups, vegetables) when they come to the festival. The Salvation Army will also take monetary donations at their table at the festival. Together we all can have a bigger impact in helping those that are in need in the communities we live in. Mahalo.

to the festival with you and help in our efforts to replenish the food pantry of Salvation Army Kona Chapter for distributions to needy families and victims of the recent storms that hit the Big Island. In an effort to raise money for the victims of recent storms on the Big Island, the Ki-ho'alu Foundation is partnering with the Salvation Army Kona Chapter to receive monetary donations and can foods at the festival this year. So, if you are considering coming to the festival, please consider bringing a can food with you to the festival (meats, soups, vegetables). Monetary donations will also be accepted by the Salvation Army as well. Donated can foods will help to replenish the Salvation Army's food pantry for distribution to families and individuals who have been impacted by these natural disasters. The Salvation Army's team will be at the festival outside of the venue to accept can food donations and monetary contributions. Please let your friends and family know and come out to the festival. In an effort to encourage young musicians to gravitate towards the slack key guitar genre, we will be introducing Micah Lau as a Pre-Show addition to the festival. Micah grew up in Kahalu'u on the Island of oahu and all of his life has was surrounded by music and Ki-ho'alu. Now at the age of 20 he is developing a strong interest in performing in the Ki-ho'alu style. Please come out and support this young artist as he takes the stage at this year's festival. Making it to the festival lineup this year is budding young artist, Ryder Briley, who will be the second youngest of all of the performing artists. Ryder, who lives on the North Shore of O'ahu is also an avid surfer and son of Big Wave rider Shawn Briley. Ryder draws his inspiration from the artist Makana as well as many of Hawaii's iconic Hawaiian musicians of the past and present. Come out and support this Keiki O Ka Aina and homegrown artist. Kamuela Kahoano returns to the festival this year and is looking forward to being on stage at the Kona festival and entertaining all of us who missed his special brand of original music and dynamic stage presence. Kamuela, like some of the other artists performing at this year's festival was also nominated for a Hoku Award this past July. Come out and support Kamuela and his energetic stage antics.
