Here’s an older cover illustration I did for a science fiction & fantasy novel that was being published by Baen Books. The book was both science fiction and fantasy, a mash-up of sci-fi and gothic romance, written by Eleanor Arnason, entitled To the Resurrection Station.

Here’s a cartoon logo that I did for the Town of Palm Beach United Way’s annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot marathon run fundraiser. My relationship with the Palm Beach United Way began many years ago when I started promoting their holiday toy drives as editorial cartoonist for the Palm Beach Daily News with an annual cartoon. The newspaper gig ended in September of 2024, but I was thrilled when they approached me to design the 2025 logo art for this event.

Just because it's advertising, doesn't mean it's crass and meaningless. As a magazine editor, I've always looked at advertising as important and entertaining content. As an advertising art director, I've always sought to find my audience's passion and address it. Sure, many ads fall short of the mark, but all you need to do is look at these to understand the benefits advertising bring to the world.

Huh haz Epiphany.

But before you buy this guy's drivel wholesale, consider the source. No doubt data informs the creative process under the new paradigm, but good design is all about the user experience. This guy is clearly not an Apple fanboy. And check out his fashion sense ... pulleeze!!
