Lotties Eye Lotties eye is a page showcasing the colorful hand cut banners and panels of Merridy L Davis. Most strings are 10 feet long and made up of 8 or 9 panels.

I started designing my own banners after being inspired by the Mexican tissue paper "Papel Picado". Originally working in tissue paper but because of our wonderful wet climate in Southeast Alaska, I moved to a fabric that braves the weather while retaining the bright colors and motion which first attracted me. I have a marinelife/birdlife series, all occasion multicolor series, seasonal designs and I love a good skeleton. All handmade and cost $48. Thanks for visiting!

Our Story

I have a thing for color and motion, at first I used colored tissue paper for my cutwork but kept my eye open for a material that would be more durable but not have the look of plastic. The fabric I use has the bright colors and motion that I wanted while being tough enough to withstand outdoor life.
