Yay!

Good morning, and what a GOOD morning it is! According to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, a new wolf pack with at least five wolf pups has established itself in Western Oregon. Aren't they cute? 🐺

These wolves live in a part of the state where they are federally protected by the Endangered Species Act, giving us hope for their continued recovery. It's exciting and heartwarming to see the pups and their parents roaming free and healthy.

Sneak Peek! This is the design currently in progress. Depicted are a family of Wolves with Raven and Moon.

I wanted to capture the idea of wolves as families, as they are, rather than as a pack, since a pack is just a family. I want to promote an understanding of wolves in light of current scientific research, which understands that an alpha wolf is just a mom or dad.

I invite constructive criticism!

While I have always loved Octopuses, or Octopi, if you prefer, and this rendering is meant to represent a Giant Pacific Octopus, I was deeply inspired for this work after watching the wonderful movie My Octopus Teacher. Octopi are truly beautiful and amazing.
