OWN A PIECE OF JUNCTION CITY HISTORY!

For more than 60 years, the Festival Park Stage has been part of the Junction City Scandinavian Festival, community dances, performances, celebrations, and countless memories. Now, as we prepare to retire the stage and begin its restoration, you have a chance to take home a piece of its history.

We are carefully salvaging sections of the existing stage to offer as fundraiser keepsakes, including the opportunity to purchase pieces that have been signed by community members at the Festival Park Stage retirement party.

Want a Signed Piece?

Signed pieces can be purchased as a special keepsake! However, because the pieces must be cut from the existing structure using a saw, we cannot guarantee that signed pieces will come out whole or without breaking. The existing stage is more than 60 years old and has cracks and significant wear. Some pieces may break during the cutting and removal process. Each piece will be unique, and will carry the character of a stage that has been part of our community for generations. Due to weight restriction, pieces will be limited to 2 sqft. in size.

Thursday, September 10 — LAST DAY TO RESERVE
Curbside Pickup: Monday, September 14 from 4:00–6:00 PM
Our volunteers will be on hand to help load your piece.

Every purchase helps the Scandinavian Cultural Foundation move forward with the Festival Park Stage Restoration Project, preserving this beloved community space for generations to come. Secure your piece through the link below!

Thank you for helping us give the old stage one more purpose before its retirement.

Festival Park Stage Retirement Party

On August 28th, 2026, our amazing community came together to say a final goodbye to the current stage foundation that has been a part of our Festival and hearts since 1964. But this isn't a forever goodbye. We are beginning a multi-phase restoration project so that the community can continue to gather on Festival Park Stage for many years to come. The first phase begins in September 2026, and will be addressing the cracked and sinking foundation.

To donate to this project, check out the Festival Park Stage Donorbox campaign on our website at https://junctioncityscandia.org/donate/

A huge thank you to Edson for serving our tired volunteers coffee and treats! Acts of support like this truly build morale for the hardworking crew who make the Junction City Scandinavian Festival happen. His kindness was the talk of the day and gave everyone a wonderful boost.

Edson is the owner of Glennwood North. His restaurant is a positive new addition to our community, especially the Scandinavian items he provides year-round. Edson’s serving spirit made such an impression. Thank you, Edson and Glennwood North!
