O'Dowd's writing abilities have kept the Chasin Agency in Beverly Hills busy. They have represented his screenplay 'StarChild' with Paramount Pictures/Mel Gibson's Icon and Tim Allen's Boxing Cat. He has completed script assignments for Oprah Winfrey’s Oxygen Network and Robert Evans Productions. Recently, 'Real Men" was optioned by former Universal Head - Thom Mount. Dan O'Dowd has also conceived, branded and authored The Art of Losing It! Mastering Weight Loss in an Expanding World! O'Dowd wrote, produced and directed the PBS Special for Capitol Records, 'Dave Koz: Off the Beaten Path - Live from Trinidad'. Notable and diverse assignments have come his way including producing and directing music videos for Tom Waits, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, REO Speedwagon, Eddie Rabbitt, Crystal Gayle, Bayer Corporation, 5Star, Eric Burdon, The Motels and dozens more. When Michael Jackson had his big Grammy win, it was also a 'Thriller' for O'Dowd who went on to handle a number of Jackson projects through the years, most notable 'The Victory Tour' and the superstars' licensing division.
