Rubs the 🦓 was rescued from a safari hunting park in Texas. Kaleidoscope Desert was contacted by many people trying to save him when videos of a large man riding 1 year old Rubs around a pen went viral online.

Zebras don’t have the same spine the enables a horse to carry a rider and riding them will make them go lame. Even if they could, the question is why?

Rubs will now live out the rest of his life at Kaleidoscope Desert where he is deeply in love with his two mini donkey girlfriends (the mini donkeys love each other first, him second).

His favorite spot to drink is the natural pool and we like to think he takes a moment to take in the surrounding beauty in and know he’s finally safe.
