Back in 2019, we did a thing and .la won the female forward $10k grant!

Taking the leap to work out a full on business plan on an idea built out of the passion that would emerge as a community-based collective that celebrates inclusivity, diversity and connection--on a global level---for women who love DJing and the many facets of the music industry.

This was such a HUGE win, because it not only showed us that the work we were doing was important, but also it was an eye opener on how hard we were willing to work and push through every obstacle that came our way, the biggest one being the pandemic. We not only figured out how to maneuver, but stay on path and acquire an HQ that would house everything we love under one roof that we could share with our community. When we shine, you shine.

So thank you to everyone who believed in us and our vision, notably .co . These powerhouse women inspire us daily, & continue to support entrepreneurs, so please follow them and take a chance on yourself and submit your application because YOU could be next!

Tell me you love DJs without telling me you love DJS.

Thank you to everyone who tuned in to celebrate 4️⃣ years of we are forever grateful to our community. This last year was an uncertain one, but here we are, it ain’t over yet, we aren’t going no where, today, tomorrow and everyday after that. Like said “we are THE BEST DJ school IN THE W🌐RLD!

To my students, you continue to make us proud, the hard work, the dedication, it’s un paralleled, May the culture & the legacy & teachings live through all of you. You’ve changed our lives and given us life. We appreciate you all more than you will ever know.

I’m used to being behind the camera, and hiding in the office, but thanks to they’ve given me the opportunity to share my story!
In the early days of , the only women in the school would be and and myself! I watched their friendship blossom, and witnessed them do really cool things together, this podcast being one of them! For whatever reason, other than my love for music, I seem to gravitate towards DJs, but there wasn’t too many women around, I always saw in the same room, and when I got to create my own events, I got to meet and collab with her, fast forward to 2020, & there so many bad ass women who are DJs out there! You all have inspired me, thus birthing .la. I am so thankful for my community whom are a special “DJ” family that continually motivates me every single day! Shout out to my family as well ( .g_ ) whom I’m so blessed to work along side and build better DJs and preserve the culture!

Finding ways to make connections during weird times. While I’ve been busy pivoting, the love for my community drives me to keep going.
