the art of letting go is out now 🫶🏼. sent me this topline about a year ago and it stayed with me from the beginning, it felt like something i needed even if i didn’t fully understand why at the time.

and i developed the idea within 48 hours, but the meaning of it has taken much longer to unfold. it’s become a reminder to soften my grip on things i’ve been holding onto— patterns, habits, thoughts, people, places, things. i’m still learning how to do that, and this song has become something i return to in that process. enjoy 🤍

some songs arrive in your life at the exact moment you need them.

48 hours after i found out someone very close to me had tried to take their life, sent me this topline. it felt like something bigger had placed it in my hands.

i was in barcelona at the time, walking the streets with this song on repeat, trying to process a kind of pain that doesn’t really have words.

at first, the lyrics spoke so deeply to my experience of being the person who stays beside someone while they find their light again. but somewhere in the process of making this song, the meaning shifted. i realized i wasn’t just holding space for someone else. i was also the one waiting for the light.

this song became a space to hold both.

i think that’s part of being human. sometimes we’re the ones holding the light for someone we love. sometimes we’re the ones trying to find our way back to it.

also not on my bingo card: a thunderstorm cutting my set in half 😭

this trip kept reminding me to ask myself: what if everything goes right? even though a lot went wrong— the weather, last minute changes, lost packages, the chaos behind the scenes— that’s not what i’ll remember. i’ll remember looking out at the crowd, seeing all of you smiling, and realizing that somehow it was all unfolding exactly the way it was meant to. bigger than the setbacks. bigger than the storm.

really grateful and proud to be one of the few women on that stage.
