Cygnals fans~~~>Please consider attending the show of our sister band, Awaken. I have seen them at least 180x over the last several years for a reason. This event is special every year and they always walk away with a ton of presents for needy children. Help us, help them, help the kiddie’s.

Don’t ever lose sight of the impact you make with your gifts. Some kids get an XBOX while others get socks and underwear and don’t understand why Santa plays favorites. Help us close that gap.

Just think of the joy I brought to some 10year old when he opened a pack of RUSH CD’s by some geezer band he never heard of that I donated one year.

In all seriousness, please consider stopping by if only to catch a few tunes and leave a gift. Cygnals will have some Cygnals shirts that we will be giving away to those of you that come to our shows and come to this one as a thank you.

Same drummer, same guitarist that play in Cygnals. They also play a few RUSH tunes. The other band members are equally good at their craft as the 3 you get to see.

So depending on which side of the fence you are on, we can be thankful that we have two remaining members to give all those woulda/coulda/shoulda’s that express their remorse for having never have seen them live.

I only speak for myself (Chris Elwood) but I can’t imagine being so cemented in a purist posture of it’s a bastardized version of RUSH.

For me personally, it gives me the oppurtunity to take my daughter Karleigh Elwood to her first show. I think she was 12 when they last played. She is the biggest RUSH encyclopedia I know but she does it in a more expansive way than us.
She studies all the meanings and origins of lyrics whereas I just like to jam. Geddy could sing ring around the Rosie as long as the jam was there. I’ll put her up against anyone.

I wonder how she got that way?

Maybe Brian J Beyer or Jake Beyer could provide some insights on indoctrination?

I’m gonna hate the day when I have to fire his dad.

So this announcement sucks.

Unfortunately, Cygnals has to make the decision to postpone our show.

Nothing bad but just too many moving parts to pull it off and make it right.

For those that bought tickets already, please request a refund through Eventbrite. If there are any issues, contact me via PM and we will make sure you are whole.

Again, it pains us to postpone this show. We look forward to it as much as Cygnals fans do.

For years growing up, a lot of us heard the remark of something to the effect of, “Is the singer female?”

We would roll our eyes and explain but now there is an edit to the response, “No, but the drummer is.”

Ugh.
