🚨 SERVICE PROVIDER PSA: WATCH FOR SCAMS! 🚨

To all my fellow tattoo artists, beauty pros, and small business owners, especially the newer ones, PLEASE be careful when booking new clients! 🫶
With the crazy amount of traffic I’ve had lately, I’ve had quite a few people try to scam me. They can be really convincing, so here’s a big red flag to watch for:

🚩 They refuse to book through your official scheduling/booking site.

Your booking system is there to protect YOU and your CLIENT. If someone keeps making excuses about why they “can’t” go through the booking process, won’t follow your normal steps, or keeps trying to move everything outside of your system, pay attention.
If you don’t have a booking site yet, GET ONE. 🙌 Even a simple one gives you a professional process to direct new clients to instead of handling everything through DMs.
Once you’ve established trust with a client, obviously you can use things like Cash App, PayPal, etc. at your own discretion. But with new clients? Stick to your system.

And remember:

“I’m busy right now” does not mean they need to bypass your booking process.
If they genuinely want the appointment, they can book when they have the time.
Protect your business, protect your money, and trust your gut. ❤️
Just wanted to share because I know there are a LOT of newer service providers following me, and I’d rather you catch the red flags before you learn the hard way. 🫶
