Super National Weekend for the All Star and Junior Slingshots traditionally provides the opportunity to spotlight both the established superstars and veterans of the division, along with the rising stars who utilize the class as an opportunity to springboard their racing career.
With some of the best of the best from all over the northeast converging on the Jonestown quarter-mile, seven-time World Champion Brett Bieber picked as good of a night as any to bring plenty of speed โ and a little bit of luck โ as he snapped a long dry spell at Lindaโs Speedway.
Meanwhile, Delawareโs Kenna Evans stole the show in the Junior Slingshot division, picking up her first win at the speedway on one of the biggest stages.
After suffering heartbreak on Wednesday night at Action Track USA, Dave Carraghan seemed poised to turn his luck around and score his third win of 2026 at Lindaโs. Unfortunately for the four-time defending track champion, it was a case of โsame song, second verse,โ as a broken crankshaft while leading with five laps to go took the No. 3 out of the race.
That misfortune handed the top spot to Bieber, who battled Dylan Hahn over the closing laps for the win. Hahnโs best shot came with three laps to go, as he got alongside Bieber in the run down to turn 3. But after the two leaders banged off each other and washed up the hill, Bieber was able to maintain his advantage and held on the rest of the way to park the Tess Horvath-owned No. 42H in the winnerโs circle.
For Bieber โ a six-time Lindaโs track champion โ it was his first Hoffer Paving All Star Slingshot win at the quarter-mile since October of 2024.
In the 15-lapper for the J&J Auto Body Junior Slingshots, it was all Kenna Evans, as the Bridgeville, DE driver was dominant all night long en route to her first win in Pennsylvania. For a while, it looked as if Kennaโs sister Kylin was bound to make it a 1-2 finish for the Evans girls. But a problem on Kylinโs car took her out of contention with just five laps left.
Over the final run to the finish, Evans pulled away from Aubrey Romig and David Morrison to tally the triumph. Evans added Lindaโs Speedway to a list that also includes Bridgeport Motorsports Park and Middleford Speedway as tracks where she has won in 2026.
Friday nightโs micro sprint action saw a couple of much-needed bounce backs for two track champions.
In the Mt. Gretna Roller Rink 270 Micro Sprint A-Main, Brandon Heist put on a clinic racing through lapped traffic in a feature that saw a 24-lap green-flag run to the checkers. Heist made the pass for the lead on Nick Skias on the eighth lap and gradually sailed off from Skias and Brayden Spencer as all the leaders raced amongst lapped traffic. Heistโs margin of victory over the eventual runner-up Spencer was over four seconds at the final flag.
Meanwhile, in Winged 600 Micro Sprint action, Matt Warner rebounded from a gut-wrenching Saturday night at the Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway to claim his second Lindaโs Speedway win of the year. Warner drove determinedly from the drop of the green flag, hanging his car out around the high groove of the speedway and blasting from fourth to the lead on the opening lap.
Lapped traffic once again made things hairy, and Connor Fetrow capitalized to snare the lead with 10 laps left. But things unraveled a few laps later when Fetrow contacted a yuke tire and broke the left front of his No. 11. Warner re-inherited the top spot and sped off to record a confidence-boosting win.
The Xcel 600 Modifieds had a thriller on Friday night as well, as for most of the race, Ryley Garman looked to be en route to his first Lindaโs victory. But a restart with four laps to go gave Tyler Bartik a chance to rip away the lead, and Bartik held off a charging Richie Hitzler over the final mile to prevail for the third time this season at the quarter-mile.
The Precision Powder Coating Chargers saw a familiar face back in the winnerโs circle, as Jeremy Ott made his season debut a winning one, bringing the No. 10L to Lindaโs Speedway for the first time in 2026 while also getting tuned up for next monthโs Stock Car Mayhem event, where Ott will look to defend his Thunder Car/Charger division victory from a year ago.
Lindaโs Speedway has a five-division show scheduled for next Friday, June 12. For the only time in 2026, both the Winged 600 Micro Sprints and the Hoosier Tire Wingless 600 Micro Sprints will share the track and race on the same night.
The Mt. Gretna Roller Rink 270 Micro Sprints, GP Motorsports Front Wheel Drive Cars, and the East Coast Legend Series make up the remainder of the racing menu. Grandstand admission is just $5, while for those unable to attend in person, live streaming coverage will be provided by The Cushion.
