MEET THE DIRECTORS!!
Head Director Parker W. Long (b. 2000) is a conductor and composer in Jonesboro, AR, and is the Head Director of the A-State Video Game Orchestra. He holds a B.M.E. (Instrumental) from A-State and is completing his graduate studies in Wind Conducting under the mentorship of Dr. Nicholas Balla.
"I believe there is something to be said about the atmosphere and soundscapes of video game music past notes and rhythms. There is something magical about bringing imagination to life and experiencing it through music."
Co-Director Calem D. Sykes (b. 2004) is a Music Composition and Education major in Jonesboro, AR, and is the Co-Director of the A-State Video Game Orchestra.

Associate Director Travis Slaughter (b. 2001) is an Instrumental Music Education Major with a minor in Jazz in Jonesboro, AR. He was the original founder of VGO, serving now as the associate director through his internship.
"Video game music is an underrepresented genre of music, and in the past 5 years, has finally come to light. I wanted to share this genre with as many people as possible because there is so much within it to be shared, said, and felt."
