The Stage Theater Company has revealed its 2023-2024 season!

The Music Man is a great choice, in my opinion. A relatively recent period piece mixed with the opportunity to cast all ages, this show would be great for Northeast Arkansas audiences. To my knowledge, it hasn’t been done in nearly a decade when The Greene County Fine Arts Council produced it at Paragould High School.

Taking it back to our childhood, Henry and Ramona caters toward the younger audience. While not a name you might recognize, The Stage Theater Company knows exactly what “children’s shows” can do for a startup production company. This is the perfect show to expand their brand, their mission, and ultimately their talent.

Who doesn’t love a tale as old as time? This popular Disney production of Beauty and the Beast is no stranger to Northeast Arkansas having been produced by many area schools, Theatredge, The Greene County Fine Arts Council, and The Foundation of Arts all within the last 7 years! We expect a grand staircase, enchanted costuming, and vocal talent that rivals the magic castle itself.

"Colombian American poet Carlos Andrés Gómez, star of HBO’s Def Poetry Jam and Spike Lee’s #1 box office movie Inside Man with Denzel Washington, will perform his original work on January 25th at 6:30 pm in Fowler Center's Drama Theatre. Presented by The Department of Theatre and the Office of Diversity and Community Engagement, this event is free and open to the public!"

Upcoming Shows in Northeast Arkansas

Arkansas State University Theatre Department will be showing "Stop Kiss" at the Simpson Theatre located on campus February 18th-19th and 25th-26th at 7:30 PM and February 20th at 2:00 PM.

The Foundation of Arts will be showing Rodger's and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" at the Forum Theatre in downtown Jonesboro on February 12th-14th and 18th-19th. Tickets are available online at foajonesboro.org and at the door.
