I’m excited to officially welcome Mark W. Richards of HEAVY HAND ILLUSTRATION as the final sponsor and vendor for Shamrock Slaughter Fest 2027!

For those unfamiliar, Mark is a classically trained illustrator whose work has made its way throughout the extreme metal scene and well beyond it!

His artwork has been featured with bands including The Black Dahlia Murder, Pig Destroyer, Na**lm Death, Internal Bleeding, Aborted, Revocation, Ghoul, Municipal Waste, Psycroptic, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed.

Outside of music, Mark has also worked on projects involving Netflix, Halloween, IT, and Army of Darkness!

☘️ BAND OF THE WEEK ☘️

Mutilation Barbecue

This week we’re putting the spotlight on Mutilation Barbecue out of Cleveland, Ohio.

With roots in Subtype Zero, Mutilation Barbecue brings together guttural vocals, grinding riffs and thick grooves. Their self-titled debut arrived in 2021, followed by “Abortion Ambulance” in 2022.

Their debut full-length, AMALGAMATIONS OF GORE, dropped through Maggot Stomp in March 2024, featuring nine tracks including “Auto Anthropophagy,” “Hive Mind Homicide” and “Trampled Under 18 Wheels.”

They followed that with FLESH REGENERATED in April 2026, introducing vocalist Tristan Wright on record. The four-track EP includes “Flesh Regenerated,” “Grave Implosion,” “Decorticate Congregation” and “Realm of the Ossified.”

They’ve also continued taking their music on the road, including the 2026 Long Roads Big Loads tour alongside Archspire, Undeath and Crown Magnetar.
