Yesterday was the end of the first 40k at the JACC. We had genestealer cult take its first solid loss of the entire campaign while fighting space wolves, meanwhile khorne demons took their first win while fighting a break through mission against Dark Angels.
In the end the imperial defenders of Sangua Terra were able to defend the capital city of Urbano sprawl, remaining in control of the Emperor's Voice grand gun battery and the Accrandor space port
The destroyer forces of chaos consolidated their power in the Praefectus bastion and the Tower of Murmeration, creating pockets of stubborn resistance and a disruption of inter-planetary communication until those territories can be cleared out.
In both Imperial held territories, efforts have finally began to come to fruition in clearing out the opportunistic xenos forces, the fledgling cults that began as an unstoppable force being quelled, and the necron forces disappearing as mysteriously as they appeared. Falling to grasp control of any territory, these xenos forces only harass and slow down the inevitable consolidation of imperial power.
