2025 flower farm recap 🌺 So thankful for my helpers!
-
I learned while I failed.
▪️I lost every single dahlia yet successfully planted/replanted and overwintered 150 peonies
▪️I planted 800 tulips and didn’t sell a single one yet enjoyed every sprout of life that burst through the snow
▪️I planted Nigella, dianthus and Larkspur too early yet the feverfew thrived in the cold
▪️Last year my ranunculus corms tripled and I was able to dig them up and save them. This year I only was able to save anemones… yet, all those ones I left will still strengthen the soil.
▪️New viburnum was planted but it wasn’t until after that I realized they may be eaten by deer, I have hope they’ll survive.
▪️We planted 2 acres worth of sunflowers with about 20 flowers to show for it, yet successfully planted 11ft x 100ft of yarrow.
So thankful I got to share this expanded space with so many this year. We were able to host friends, bridal parties, bible study groups and even Girl Scout troops. 🥹
Thank you for coming.

This year I will have over 250 peony bushes and a few varieties of roses….in hopes of having a few flowers to show for it but to keep them growing strong for a great 2027 full season.

Excited for some of the same and some new varieties of flowers to try this year! I hope to see you this summer!
