A little change of plans for the start of Ethnic Fest tonight…sometimes nature throws us for a loop! Due to the forecast for this evening, we are postponing our outdoor booth until tomorrow. We will be opening up The Grand Halle instead from 5 pm - 8 pm. It will give folks that stop down a nice indoor spot out of the rain. Please stop in and see us!

It's hard to believe, but CambriaCity EthnicFestival is only a few days away! The Steeples Project has three locations open this year, including The Grand Halle. Do not miss our last Sound Bath of the season! We finish our season by welcoming Rachel Allen of YogaSong.

Rachel Allen is a Certified Music Practitioner and Sound Healer. Therapeutic music and sound healing are interwoven into everything she does, including her work in hospice care and her integration of music and sound healing into yoga classes, retreats, and workshops regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Rachel utilizes a variety of instruments through the sound healing journey, including voice, Shruti box, metal and crystal bowls, as well as the Celtic Harp and other instruments.

Rachel is also a composer of medicine music and leads community singing experiences that include her original pieces and other pieces from the community singing tradition.

All are welcome. No experience required.

Are you or anyone you know looking for a part-time position and enjoy helping people have a great experience? We are looking for a Grand Halle Event Manager!

The Grand Halle is seeking a friendly, dependable, and personable Event Manager to serve as the on-site representative during weddings, celebrations, and other special events.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests, assisting vendors and event hosts, helping events run smoothly, light facility upkeep, event photography/social media, and securing the building at the conclusion of events. Evening and weekend availability is expected.

Previous event, hospitality, or customer service experience is helpful but not required. This is a part-time independent contractor position, $14/hour, with event-based scheduling and flexible availability. To apply, email resume to [email protected].

Step inside one of Johnstown’s most breathtaking spaces!

The Grand Halle on Broad Street, located in the heart of the Cambria City Historic District, has been part of our region’s story for more than a century. Once home to the ethnic-German parish of Immaculate Conception, this landmark building was reopened in 2012 and lovingly restored in 2020 as a special-events venue and concert hall.

With its richly colored Munich-style stained glass, Victorian Gothic details, and resonant Adam Stein pipe organ, The Grand Halle offers an atmosphere unlike any other.

On May 15, full-season subscribers are invited to The Grand Halle for "A Musical Gallery," an intimate chamber performance set within one of Johnstown’s most distinctive architectural treasures. Surrounded by history, stained glass, and extraordinary detail, this concert offers a beautiful way to close the season.

Meet Dr. Henry M. Davis, who is presenting “Gospel Inspiration” this Friday the 17th here at the Grand Halle!

This event will mark the third program by Dr. Davis at The Grand Halle. He brings a message of faith and inspiration to his performances which moves and inspires audiences. His program will include his own arrangements of gospel favorites and original compositions.

Dr. Davis has recently been featured as a guest on the KC O’Day Show, and he has served as the opening music minster for the Pennsylvania Church of God Camp Meeting. He played for the Westmont Presbyterian Church Centennial celebration series and presented a new composition “Centennial” for that event.

As a featured pianist, Dr. Davis has performed at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and venues in Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Great Britain, South Africa, Nigerian, and Zimbabwe. He currently serves at the Peniel Treatment Center as Senior Administrator, Assistant Pastor, and Minister of Music at the Peniel Praise Community Church.
