Hi all, I know, it’s been a long time…. Just wanted to tell you (with a sad heart) that it’s been a great journey and I am closing the doors to Hot Gringas’. Life happens and (like the pandemic!) things change.
I would like to start off saying thank you to my partners, friends, mentors, cooks, (you know who you all are) accountant (Rocky Mountain Accounting), sellers, stores and Rocky Mountain Salsa kitchen for being there. (and yes, my Rio 😉you too). It took a village!
But most of all, Thanks to our Hot Gringas’ customers and fans. If it wasn’t for your love of our sauce, none of this would have been possible.
In the 14 years of cooking, deseeding peppers (yes, we inspected every pepper) it was always an experience! It was hard work and working with fresh peppers, it made the recipe a challenge to get it perfect. Every batch of peppers were different (cost, weight, seeds, juices, size and let’s not forget about the heat). But we did it and we got it to a nice medium heat most of time 😉 The BEST part was watching our customers face while trying our product…. Priceless!
Owning your own food manufacturing small business is not for the weary…. (At one point we were in 65 stores, and due to shows – had internet sales all over the USA. What an accomplishment!) I give kudos to all the small food business who survived the last 2 years in these hard times. Cheers to you!
Anyways, Hot Gringas’ has been a wild & crazy ride and it’s taught me a lot of lessons. So many memories of all the shows and farmers markets (through the heat, rain, ice, snowstorms, microbursts etc.…) We have stories!!! LOL - And, you never know – maybe, just maybe, we may be back someday. It’s hard to keep a good Gringa down 😉
Thank you and Bless you all, your Hot Gringa – Tarisa Peterson aka Tari
FYI, I still have a few cases left of Sweet Chili sauce that need to go if anyone is interested. Message me, as my website is down. (1st come, 1st served) Will also be posting later a few items for sale.
