I think we had too much fun on this tour! 😂 We started in Bristol, then Downtown Johnson City, and ended at Yee-Haw Brewing Co.! We were visited by a train, and even got matching sunburns as souvenirs!

The first stop of today's tour was Bristol, TN! Thank you to Tennessee Arts Commission and Symphony of the Mountains (Official) for making this possible!

Blue Iron Steel Band entertained passersby at Bristol's Downtown Center on Friday morning as part of an ongoing series funded by a Tennessee Arts Commission grant to bring free music to downtowns throughout the Tricities. This small group of talented musicians -a subset of Blue Iron Percussion - played steel pans (not to be confused with steel drums) that are native to Trinidad and Tobago and deliver a sound all their own. Symphony of the Mountains (Official) received the grant to provide these creative placement concerts that are designed to introduce Tennesseans (and in our case, Virginians too!) to live music they may not have heard before. Simply fabulous!
