Atelier 133, LLC Atelier 133 features community events, art classes, 14 artist studios, and the Lazy Lady Baking Co. Atelier 133 will be a dream come true.

I am a potter and have wanted my own studio space for several years. Five years ago, I happened upon this building through someone who was going to store a kiln I had just bought. When I walked into the building, I was struck by the possiblilites it held. I wound up buying the building and with the help of fantastic architect Andrea Russell, I have a plan in place to open the space to artists. The

re will be 14 studio spaces for rent, plus a gallery to hold monthly art exhibits. I will be concentrating on exhibiting local and regional artists, but will also hold an invitational exhibit every two years or so for a single medium that will be open to artists beyond our region as well. There will be a classroom for artists to hold classes for children and adults. The gallery space and classroom will be available for special events, including workshops, small music performances, poetry readings, artist talks, etc. The building will also hold Lazy Lady Baking Co., a small bakery/cafe run by my daughter Maren Close. Many of you already follow Maren and her amazing pastries at the Johnson City Farmers Market and Dos Gatos and Corner Cup coffee shops.
