It is finally on the longarm!

Have you ever put a lot of time and effort into a piece and been disappointed in the final reveal? I mean we cut, we piece, we press, we square, we design, we quilt, and we square again. And then you cannot see the details you hoped for. This past week has been one of those. Here I started with a Ricky Tim's Convergence quilt base and quilted Koi on it. I am disappointed in the final outcome. It was a lot of work with little "show factor" in the end. I am going to call it a stepping stone for the process of learning. Time to create another and test the waters on some new thread options stitching ideas.

Something new on the design board.

I had an opportunity this morning to be out early after a Dr. Appointment for mom. We wanted breakfast afterwards and I had been hearing the rumblings of a new place downtown Kingsport; Mama D's. Still early, we waited a few for them to open. I had heard it was worth the wait.
It did not disappoint!
First we were greeted by Mama D, herself and a beautiful hand stitched quilt hanging near the entrance. ❤️ Then invited to a cozy table and introduced to a fabulous menu.
All I can say is, "Go!" Seek this gem out yourself. You don't want to miss out of this one.
