This is a hard post to write.
After seven incredible years, we’ve made the decision to step away from producing Hoppy Possum. This wasn’t an easy call. This festival has been a huge part of our lives, and something we’re incredibly proud of.
What made Hoppy Possum special was never just the beer — it was the people behind it.
To our brewers and competitors: thank you for trusting us with your creations, for traveling long distances, for sharing your passion, and for pushing each other to be better. You are the heart of this event.
To our judges: thank you for your time, your expertise, and for taking the responsibility of judging seriously. You helped give this competition its credibility and integrity.
To our volunteers: this event simply does not happen without you. Your energy, patience, and willingness to jump in wherever needed kept everything running.
To our vendors: thank you for bringing incredible food, art, and creativity to the park and helping make the festival feel alive.
To our musicians and MCs: thank you for providing the soundtrack and personality of the day. You set the tone and gave the festival its soul.
To our business partners and sponsors: thank you for believing in this event, investing in it, and helping us grow it year after year.
And to our attendees: thank you for showing up curious, open-minded, and ready to support independent brewers and small businesses. You gave all of this a purpose.
There are WAY too many people to thank, but you know who you are. We love each of you and everything you poured into making Hoppy Possum such an amazing experience.
We’ve shared laughs, stressful moments, sunshine, storms, and some truly unforgettable days together. Watching the park fill up with people enjoying great beer, great music, and each other is something we’ll always be proud of.
This isn’t goodbye to what Hoppy Possum stood for — creativity, craftsmanship, and community — just the end of this chapter. From the bottom of our hearts:
