It’s almost time to begin nominating for the annual TAM awards! We will be highlighting our award winners from the 2026 TAM Awards of Excellence Ceremony in the upcoming days.

Today we are featuring the ETSU Slocumb and Tipton-Ashe Galleries in Johnson City for:
- Temporary Exhibit: "Layered, Woven, and Pierced: Appalachian Soul A Year On."

Please bring some fabric or objects to the workshop to personalize your mini quilts. See you all at the Reece museum 2-4pm later for Aundra McCoy workshop thanks

The Reece Museum is proud to be partnering with ETSU Art & Design's Slocumb Galleries to present Ancestral Mini Quit Workshop with Master Craft Artist Aundra McCoy. Taking place Wednesday, September 9, 2-4 PM at the Reece Museum, this workshop is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required due to limited spots. Participants are encouraged to bring their scrap fabric and memory items to personalize their individual quilt squares.

RSVP to Reece Museum Education Curator, Ashley Gregg, via email at [email protected] on or before September 4.

This event is presented in conjunction with current Slocumb Galleries exhibitions: Through the Eye of the Needle and Gee's Bend Now. A joint reception for these exhibitions will be held on September 4, First Friday, at Tipton-Ashe Galleries, 6-8 PM.
