2026 International FL3TCH3R Exhibit: Social & Politically Engaged Art

The artwork in the 2026 International FL3TCH3R Exhibit was selected by juror J.B. Burke, but now it’s your turn to choose!

As you walk through the exhibition at Fischman Gallery, take a moment to consider the many powerful works addressing the social and political issues of our time. Every artwork in the exhibition is eligible for the People’s Choice Award. Choose the artwork that speaks to you most strongly, then cast your vote!

Next Friday, September 18th, Lyberarchelulo Duets is back with their next performance! Andrew Gibbens is joined by ambient lap steel and harmonica player Jason Goforth from Nashville. Friends for many years, this is Andrew and Jason’s first live performance together. Maggie Ledes, Johnson City’s noise musician extrodinaire, will introduce the sounds of her handmade springboard during the set. Performance starts at 7:00pm!

Wow! We had a wonderful turn out on Friday for our juror's talk and award ceremony. We'd also like to acknowledge all of the artists who participated in the artist panel: Melanie Spangler- Hilliard, Susan lachmann, Preston Craig, Devin Long, Abbi Blevins, Patricia Anderson-Turner, Mary Kearny Hull, Robert Adams, Jason Flack, as well as J.B, the juror. The artist panel was something new that was done this year for the first time, and we enjoyed it! Thank you so much to all who attended and all the participating artists!

Please join us tonight for our International Fl3tch3r exhibit juror's talk and awards ceremony! As always, we will serve light refreshments.

This year’s juror, Jessica “J.B.” Burke, is an artist and educator based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Burke, who prefers to go by J.B., is a contemporary realist and Associate Professor of Art at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her drawings have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including the Mint Museum, the Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts, the KEPCO Plaza Gallery Museum, and most recently Aqua Art Miami during Art Basel Miami Beach. Her work has also appeared in publications including Manifest’s International Drawing Annual (INDA) 13, Hi-Fructose Magazine, Hyperlux Magazine, 3x3 Illustration International, and Creative Quarterly: The Journal of Art and Design.

The event will run from 6:30-9:00pm, with the juror's talk at 6:30 and the awards presentation starting at 7:30pm. Any and all are welcome to attend! See you tonight!
