Catskill Mtn Feis Entries are open until July 27th! And the tentative schedule is already posted (with a 10am start!)

Here is a tentative schedule for the Catskill Mtn feis. Feis starts at 10:00 am..I hope this will help you plan your day/weekend.
This is tentative until entries close on Monday 7/27. After Monday, there will be no entries accepted unless you ask me really really nicely😂… and even then I can’t guarantee ☘️💙
“This is PROBABLE order of competitions.

Ceili Competitions (2 and 4 hands) 10:00 a.m.
followed by Pre Beginner (First Feis)
Followed by Beginners, Advanced Beginners in age/category order
"Luck of the Draw" Four Hands either immediately before or immediately after lunch break.

Novice and Prizewinner start after lunch break (approx 12-30 - 1:00). They will be on separate stages, both categories starting after lunch. They will run in age order. If dancers are split between Novice and Prizewinner, there may be some conflicts in timing, but these stages (and scoring) will remain open and everyone will dance their dances.

Preliminary (with the exception of Adults) Start after Ceili Competitions
Run in age order. Competitions will be combined to achieve 5 or more competitors

Open Girls up to and including Under 14 Start after Ceili Competitions. They will run in age order.

Future Champs after Open Girls Under 14 at approximately 11:30. They will run in age order and be followed by lunch break.

Open Girls Under 15 and older will start following lunch break. They will run in age order, BUT, the two Boys competitions, Under 14 and Under 16, and Adult Preliminary and Adult Open will be interspersed into this order depending on the numbers in each competition. Open dance competitions should conclude by approximately 3 p.m. if not earlier.

All times are approximate since the Feis is still open to entries. Final Schedule will be released within a few days after entries close on Monday, July 27. “

Nationals Recap: Proud Beyond Words ✨

This past week, five of our incredible dancers took the North American National Championship stage. Proud is an understatement 💗

Colbie, U11, worked so hard to earn Open Championship status this year... qualifying for her very first nationals. Watching her chase this down has been pure joy. We can't wait to see what's next. 🌟

Molly, U17, stepped onto the biggest stage of her career for the very first time (no regionals first, just straight to nationals) with confidence and grace - so brave. So excited for what's to come. 💜

Lydia (27th, Senior Ladies A)
Julia (28th, World Qualifier, Ladies Under 22)
Kimmy (46th, U18 A)

These lovely, hardworking and beyond dedicated ladies all battled through incredibly tough competitions this year, training religiously, all while juggling major life milestones. That kind of commitment doesn't go unnoticed.

But these three weren't only dancing for themselves. I was in Spain for my son's master's graduation, so they stepped into my shoes too... checking in with me, keeping me in the loop, and looking after each other and the younger girls the whole week. Two roles, one competition, and they carried both beautifully. That kind of commitment doesn't go unnoticed, and I am endlessly grateful.

It killed me not to be there. But I knew this team would take care of each other like the family they are. Absolutely top notch. ✨

Next up: Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships this November. 💗

Fun Camps are BACK for summer 2026 — and they're better than ever. ️

We're filling the weeks that parents dread most: right when school ends and camps haven't started yet, and again right before school begins in the fall.

Full-day themed camps for kids ages 5-13, right here in Johnson City.

Session 1: June 22-25 | Action Academy
Session 2: June 29-July 2 | Makers & Movers
Session 3: August 24-27 | Epic Explorers
Session 4: September 1-4 | Bold & Brave

$50/day or $175 for the full Mon-Thu week. Register for exactly the days you need.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the women who nurture, guide, support, encourage, comfort, cheer, carry, advocate, and love so deeply. 💗

Today, we celebrate every version of motherhood and caregiving... moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, aunts, foster moms, bonus moms, guardians, mentors... all of you who and show up with open hearts and steady hands.

We see the rides to class, the last-minute bobby pins, the pep talks in the car, the schedule juggling, the quiet sacrifices, and the unwavering love behind the scenes.

Thank you for all you pour into your children and into this community. We are so grateful for you.

Wishing love and gentleness today to those celebrating, those grieving, those longing, and those carrying complicated feelings around this day as well.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Carle Irish Dance.

I’m not even sure where to begin with this one 💗

Julia took the World stage this past weekend in the Ladies 21–23 competition… and placed 19th in the world.

Let that sink in.

She was sitting 16th after the first two rounds, and 11th in the world in the soft shoe round something that is just… incredible.

For a school like ours, one that quietly works, builds, and earns every step forward, this means so much.

We don’t have the advantage of a big name or long-standing affiliations.

There’s no recognition from a conversation or a photo on social media.

Her dancing was seen - and recognized - purely on its merit.

And that says everything.

This didn’t happen overnight.

This is years of commitment, consistency, and choosing to keep going, even when the path isn’t easy.

What a ride this has been…

Julia - I am so beyond proud of you. It is an honor to walk alongside you, and I’m so glad this journey isn’t over 💫

Kimmy danced two beautiful rounds at the World Championships this week 🩵

Some moments aren’t measured in placements.

They become part of the journey,  shaping it, strengthening it, and moving it forward.

This week, goals were checked off, new ones were set, and we get to keep traveling this path together.

What stood out most was the strength, the determination, and the quiet resilience it took to step onto that stage… and to dance two rounds you could truly be proud of.

Kimmy, we are so proud of you.

It is an honor to walk alongside you in your journey 💫

Come see our Carle Irish Dance dancers perform at WSKG's Be My Neighbor Day at 10:00 AM... and stay for a morning full of fun, connection, and community

This is such a fun event:
