David C. Hartwell, age 49, of Alton, passed away at 1:34 P.M. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital.   He was born June 6, 1967, in Alton Illinois and was the son Leon Ross and Helen (Strader) Manka.   David married Dana (Rive

David's funeral services will be in Alton @ Elias, Kallal and Schaaf funeral home, Thursday morning at 10 is the visitation and 11am services. Family can view him at 9am.

Played a reception / party tonight at the moose. It was fun, great to get a chance to do it again. We all had a great time. If anyone would like us to dj for you, i just need a heads up a few weeks ahead so I can take the day off work.

Dave Hartwell: As Part owner of "To Da'z D.J.'s " he had over 18 plus years experience playing music as a D. J. for wedding receptions, graduation parties, birthday's and much more. David trained Dana and Dana has been djing for the last 11 years with and without David. Unfortunately we lost David Feb. 4th of 2017. With his passing Dana and her sons have taken on the business and are continuing to play music and entertain always with David in our hearts and minds.
