If you've been starved for body-centric theater, consider this your siren call. Take a trip back to raunchy New York of the eighties to peep inside some literal peepholes, consider the body, eat free cookies, ogle to your heart's content, drink hot toddies, wiggle, giggle, and think a lot about cats with Elizabeth Weitzen, our Associate Artist in Residence since 2017.

Part memoirish performance art, part sleazy dance show, part bitingly sarcastic monologue, part chronic illness outreach, this new, original work is interactive when you want it to be, surreal, irreverent, wise, and intentionally crass. It's movement theatre that just might teach you a trick or two for when you’re feeling like s**t.

ANTIGONICK opens tonight. It’s kinda like this but … more naked, more bloody, and insanely, in a church.
Join us at The Center at West Park tonight (Friday August 20th) at 8pm, and tomorrow (Saturday August 21st) at 3pm.
Admission is FREE. Doors open 30 mins before curtain. Proof of vaccination is required and masks must be warn at all times. Entrance of Amsterdam Ave. And of course, find all of this info at the link in our bio 🩸🫀

🚨PERFORMANCE UPDATE🚨
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the location and performance times of Antigonick have CHANGED. Antigonick will run this weekend at The Center at West Park, on Friday August 20th at 8pm & Saturday August 21st at 3pm. This performance is still completely FREE. -The Center at West Park is located at 165 West 86th street, entrance on Amsterdam Ave
-There will be NO shows on Thursday or Sunday
-This is an indoor space
-Doors will open 30 mins prior to showtime
-No advance tix. Seats are first-come first-served
-Proof of vaccination is required for all attendees
-Masks must be warn at all times indoors
-There is absolutely NO photography permitted during our performance

Indie Theater is an important part of NYC’s business and culture sectors. Torn Out Theater literally could not do our work without the indie theatre spaces where we rehearse and perform.

These spaces are still paying rent, even though they have no income. We are at a moment of life-or-death for these spaces, and consequently for the entire indie theater scene.
