I’m so excited to announce that I have been accepted back into Art on the Border in Fort Smith, Arkansas!
This was one of my favorite shows last year. It was beautifully organized, the artists were exceptional, and I was so grateful to meet new collectors and connect with so many wonderful people. I’m truly honored to be returning.
I’ll be bringing original paintings in various sizes, along with giclée prints.

Work in Progress
I have refinished a lot of furniture in my life, but I have never done anything quite so colorful or joyful. This is being painted with DIY brand paint. It’s actually a clay-based paint, and I am just enjoying the process. Up at 4:30 - 5 in the morning. It’s a great reason to get up early. I start my day with a devotional, coffee, and joyful painting. I will share more as this project as it progresses. It's going to brighten my art studio! I use it to store my painting mediums, varnishes, and other important tools. You can find the paint here in Jenks, Oklahoma, at the River City Trading Post. Also, you can order from The Turquoise Iris in Oklahoma City.

It’s a rainy day today and I am here for it. The perfect day to paint (but so is every day) I can’t wait for this book to be released! I am finishing the last couple of illustrations for my client. It is a story with a beautiful faith message. I am so excited to be a part of this project! More sneak peaks to come! I will let everyone know when it is released.

I had so much fun painting this jacket. It was inspired by Zinnias. I am not sure there is a flower that has such an intense amount of colors. I purchased a couple of plants in pots a couple of weeks ago, and I planted seeds along the back of our house last night. Where do you find your inspiration? Mine is very often from nature. I think you will be seeing these flowers on more clothing and canvases.

I painted a new jacket to wear at my art show next weekend. What do you think? I wanted it to be bright, exciting, and fun. I am inspired by the colors of spring and bought some beautiful flowers that fit the vibe.
My precious grandson helped me pick out the flowers. Somehow, they are even prettier when I view them through his eyes. I love his childlike sense of wonder. We just planted some flower seeds he picked out. Teaching him about gardening is so wonderful. I want him to grow up with the joy and appreciation of nature that I have.
I will be following up with a hat and shoes to coordinate with the jacket. I would probably paint anything if I could get it to stay still long enough.
